Support Cancer Research

John van Geest Cancer Research Centre

Entrants are free to raise sponsorship for their own cause, and you can download a Sponsorship form HERE. However, you might like to consider supporting the cancer research which is being undertaken at the John van Geest Cancer Research Centre in Nottingham, of which one of our Committee members is the Associate Director.


We are a unique purpose-built scientific facility in the East Midlands. Our aim is to save lives and speed recovery by improving the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, with a particular focus on breast and prostate cancers, the two most common cancers for women and men in the UK today.


With recent studies predicting that at least 1 in 3 of us are likely to be diagnosed with cancer at some point in our lifetime this research will affect us all. As part of Nottingham Trent University, our marketing and administration costs are covered, meaning that 100% of any donations we receive are used on lifesaving research.


We work closely with clinicians in local hospitals to identify new ways to diagnose and treat cancers. You can join us in making a difference.
