Around 500 entrants are expected to tackle this challenging event which is organised under UK Athletics rules. It is a single loop circuit which is run entirely on the road surface and passes through the hamlets of Bretton and Abney, skirts around Eyam Moor, returning to Eyam via Sir William Hill. The race involves an accumulated ascent of over 1,200 feet.
