Kids Race

10.45am May 19th 2024

Register on the day from 9.30 am onwards outside the Miners Arms Pub. £3 per runner (cash only).

​

The Eyam Fun Run 1.3 miles (2.1Km) is for children under the age of 16. It starts from the square approx 10.45am soon after the Half Marathon has set off at 10.30am.

The circular route follows the main road through the village and turns left onto Tideswell lane up a small incline. Left onto Windmill lane then takes the runners along to join Dunlow lane which is a steep downhill and then back to the main road via New Close.

 

In 2023 all winners received a certificate signed by Erling Haaland. Previous races have had certificates signed by Steve Backshall, Jessica Ennis, Rebecca Adlington and Tom Cruise (yes actual Tom Cruise).

 

The route is marshalled; however, parents are responsible for their own children and should supervise accordingly. Parents are welcome to join in and run with their children.  All abilities are very welcome! Sorry, no dogs are allowed on the fun run.

The 2023 Kid's Race had a record 99 runners. Congratulations to everyone who put in an amazing effort and especially to Connie Walters (12) from Mansfield who was 1st girl and Patrick Knapton (12) from Sheffield who was first boy. Local results:- Joseph Rundle age 12 came 5th overall and was 1st local boy. 1st local boy juniors was Freddie Edwards, 1st local boy infants Finley Cross. 1st local junior girl Poppy Belivaris, 1st local infant girl Lucy Harley.
